Why Take An Online E-Learning Course?

Our online E-Learning courses are a popular way of taking one of our Visual Merchandising Courses for those students who either live overseas, or are not located close enough to the London / Hertfordshire area. Our E-Learning courses can be taken by anyone, all over the world - as long as you have access to a good internet connection.

It is advisable to have a laptop, pc or mac that has speakers. You may find it useful to also use a speaker headset that can plug into your computer.

Our classes are held in an online virtual classroom, using a program called Go To Meeting. The tutor will email you a link to access the classroom. Once students log on this is a live classroom session run by a tutor. Students can interact with the tutor, as well as view the tutors screen when presentations are shown, and also share their coursework with the class by viewing your screen.

We run a 2 day intensive course which is a private course for an individual, using the NN4M (No Need 4 Mirrors) programme. This looks at the basics of Visual Merchandising and Window Dressing. As these classes are for the individual, these can be booked on dates to suit the student.

We also run a 6 week group course using the Mockshop programme. This is an advanced level of learning, teaching you effective shop floor layouts, customer flow and product merchandising. This course runs every Monday evening from 6pm until 8pm UK time and runs every 3 months. Dates can be found on the website.

We use online retail programmes: NN4M (No Need 4 Mirrors) and Mockshop to assist students with their learning.

NN4M is a window dressing programme, where students can register and have their own account. They get the option to store their work on the programme, save as files or send direct to their email address. NN4M works with some of the UK's top high street stores such as: Karen Millen, Oasis and Matalan. Students get the chance to style their mannequins in the new season products from these top stores.

Mockshop is a retail store layout programme, which allows the student to design their own shop floor space. Then practice merchandising their store on a choice of fixtures, with the range of fashion garments available on the Mockshop program. When taking this course a member of the Mockshop team will assist you with downloading the software onto your computer. Mockshop is a program that works with Windows, so Mac users can take the course as long as their computer can also run Windows.
